This exquisite Ancient Roman Coin Solid 14K Gold Medallion features a real antique bronze coin of Roman Empress Aelia Flavia Flaccilla, Wife of Emperor Theodosius and a strong defender of the Orthodox Christian faith. The coin is approximately 1700 years old!

♦ The front side depicts the profile of Empress Aelia Flavia Flaccilla (356-386 AD), the first wife of Roman Emperor Theodosius I. She was of Hispanian Roman descent. During her marriage to Theodosius, she gave birth to two sons – future Emperors Arcadius and Honorius – and a daughter, Aelia Pulcheria. Flaccilla was, like her husband, a supporter of the Nicene Creed, making Christianity the official state religion of the Roman Empire.
She was considered a shining example of Christian virtue and ardent charity. She is venerated in the Greek Church as a saint.
Reverse side shows winged Victory seated right, inscribing on shield set on short column.
